A Weekly Dose of Happy Issue 1
Hi, welcome to the first edition of “A Weekly Dose of Happy” from HappyMonks. Here is a list of 5 things to help you start the week off with a little happiness! Enjoy!
People talk about “happiness” and “being happy” all time. How many times have your heard someone say, “My goal is to be happy”? But what does “being happy” really mean? I found this article on Happify.com that explains it better than I ever could: What is Happiness, Anyway?
Over the holidays, I ate A LOT. Anything I wanted. And I was loving it! So, when January 1st rolled around, I wasn’t ready to give up all the goodness. But once February 1st approached, I realized it was time to get back on track. One way I get my diet back on track is to cut down on my sugar intake as much as possible. To do this, I turn to Danielle Walker’s Chia Almond Pudding Parfait. It’s dairy free, gluten free and processed sugar free. I know, sounds great. But I promise it is! And it’s the perfect treat- making both you and the scale happy! Chia Almond Pudding Parfait
I love to read. Nothing makes me happier than finding a good book I can’t put down. Recently I read, “The Bookshop on the Corner”, by Jenny Colgan and loved it. It’s a sweet story about a librarian who loses her job, buys a van and transforms it into a bookmobile in a sleepy village. Give it a try! “The Bookshop on the Corner”,by Jenny Colgan
One thing I am really trying to focus on this year is gratitude. I think it’s important to focus on all the things you have, instead of all the things you don’t have. It’s a great reminder of how lucky you really are. I decided I wanted to do this by keeping a gratitude journal so I could look back on my entries throughout the year. So, next step was finding the perfect journal and, of course, it had to be cute. I found this adorable journal on Amazon and it never fails to put a smile on my face! The Perfect Journal
