A Weekly Dose of Happy Issue 5

Hi, welcome to the first edition of “A Weekly Dose of Happy” from HappyMonks. Here is a list of 5 things to help you start the week off with a little happiness! Enjoy!

Article:

I recently noticed that I have been doing a lot of things outside my comfort zone this year, like taking a class and writing this newsletter. And the craziest thing is, I like it! It makes me feel like I am growing and really living my life. This makes me so happy because that is something I had been missing. I came across this blog post and thought it was the perfect thing to share this week. Read it and tell me, what are you going to do to get outside your comfort zone? Fear Your Comfort Zone

Recipe:

I love these Thai Sticky Chicken Fingers by Iowa Girl Eats. They are a little more work to make than I usually like but they are definitely worth it.  They are made from chicken strips cut from regular chicken breasts and coated in a crunchy, gluten-free breading that’s spiked with chopped sliced almonds that actually stays on the chicken fingers!  Just thinking about them makes me hungry! I’m going to have to make them this week.Thai Sticky Chicken Fingers by Iowa Girl Eats

Book Recommendation:

This week my book recommendation is The Someday Jar by Alison Morgan. In The Someday Jar, the main character, Lanie Howard, has the perfect life until she finds her old Someday Jar, where she stashed all her childhood wishes. After an attractive stranger saves her from choking, she realizes life is too short for regrets. Now, jar in hand, Lanie decides to carry out those goals, even if it means leaving her 'perfect' life behind". This book definitely goes with the theme of this week, living outside your comfort zone! The Someday Jar by Alison Morgan

Product recommendation:

When I was younger, I loved getting tan. But now I have realized how damaging the sun can be for your skin. So, I try really hard to wear sunscreen on my face everyday. A friend introduced me to Neova DNA Damage Control Silc Sheer SPF 40 and I love it.  It’s not greasy at all and it’s lightly tinted so you can wear it under your makeup. Plus it’s water resistant. As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, make sure to protect your skin. It’s the only skin you’ve got! Neova DNA Damage Control Silc Sheer SPF 40
